Today is my first day being the full time business owner of Shealy Photography. I’ve been looking forward to this day for a LONG time and I can’t believe that it’s finally here!

I’ve been a mess of emotions over the past few weeks just thinking about all that is happening. I’m mostly excited and happy with a little nervous mixed in there too! This has been my dream from the moment I started in the photography world over 10 years ago.

While organizing my office this morning, I looked back on some of my first pictures and wow…. let’s just say that I’ve come a LONG way! The thing I love most about photography is that you are always learning and perfecting your work. I’m so blessed to be able to do what I love for a living! Now, I’m off to do some advertising and scope out some new locations for  upcoming sessions.

What is it that makes lifestyle sessions so much fun? Well… for starters, you stay put and I come to you. Children especially love this because they are more comfortable in their regular environment. I love capturing children having fun and playing! Take a peek…..

We started outside of their beautiful home… then ventured inside to have some fun in the kids rooms! Mr. M was happy-go-lucky for his 9 month session! Big Sister had some great ideas for her pictures, I even asked if she was interested in becoming my assistant.
